Apple events 2025 what new products to expect techtoro CloneAGC, Jakarta - Pemerintah menyambut gembira penguatan nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar Amerika Serikat (AS) menjelang pemilihan presiden dan wakil presiden (pilpres) yang akan berlangsung Rabu (9/7/2014) besok. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri pasar sudah kembali sehingga membalikkan kurs rupiah ke level Rp 11.600 per dolar AS.

Menteri Keuangan Chatib Basri mengaku, nilai tukar rupiah sempat berada di posisi terkuat Rp 11.200 per dolar AS pada Januari lalu. Namun tak berlangsung lama, kurs rupiah ambruk akibat persaingan ketat dari dua pasangan capres.

"Karena pilpresnya ketat, orang mulai takut nanti jangan-jangan ribut kampanye. Tapi Alhamdulillah, kampanye selesai, ribut-ribut paling suara musik doang dan tidak ada ribut apa-apa. Kepercayaan dirinya balik, dari Rp 11.900 menjadi Rp 11.600-Rp 11.700 per dolar AS dalam waktu 1-2 hari," kata dia usai Sidang Paripurna di Gedung DPR, Jakarta, Selasa (8/7/2014).

Lebih jauh tambah Chatib, efek pemilu hanya bersifat temporer. Apabila sudah selesai, maka dia memperkirakan nilai tukar rupiah akan kembali menguat ke level psikologis.

"Mereka lihat pas masa kampanye hasilnya bagus, semua damai sehingga semua orang sudah price in. Mereka masuk. Ini menimbulkan kepercayaan, jadi jika pemilu berjalan aman dari kontestan dan keamanannya, mestinya rupiahnya oke serta akan balik ke kondisi yang memang faktor psikologisnya. Ini cerminan dari kondisi ekonominya," tutur dia.

Chatib mengaku, pemerintah dan otoritas tak melulu harus langsung terjun melakukan intervensi pada setiap kondisi pelemahan rupiah maupun Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG).

"Nggak perlu setiap market yang anjlok terus diintervensi. Ngapain juga kalau sifatnya temporer, nanti uang kita habis jadi lebih baik dipakai untuk yang lain. Kalau sesuatu yang temporer jangan diambil keputusan," tukasnya.

Kurs tengah Bank Indonesia hari ini menunjukkan kurs rupiah berada di level Rp 11.695 per dolar AS atau menguat dari posisi kemarin Rp 11.787 per dolar AS. (Fik/Ndw) Sign For Help Guidance
