Sebagian perusahaan telah menurunkan rata-rata 20 persen dari volume produksinya akibat melemahnya sisi permintaan akibat tergerus produk impor dan membanjirnya impol ilegal yang mayoritas berasal dari China dan India.

Dari hitungan perwakilan perusahaan, perbedaan antara harga produk impor yang legal dan produksi mereka mencapai 20 sen. Apabila perbedaan harga bahan baku tersebut berkisar 5 sen hingga 10 sen maka produsen dalam negeri masih dapat bersaing.

“Jadi mereka menjelaskan bahwa kalau perbedaannya sampai 20 sen, maka garmen lokal akan lebih milih impor, kalaupun dikasih jam malam Responding Email hanya berkurang 5 sen, ditambah lagi tanpa WBP (Waktu Beban Puncak) diskon yang diberikan hanya dampak 8 sen,” kata Franky.

Oleh karena itu, beberapa usulan yang mengemuka disampaikan oleh perwakilan perusahaan, di antaranya permohonan permintaan penambahan diskon listrik dari 30 persen menjadi 50 persen, selain itu beberapa pelaksana di tingkat daerah juga dinilai belum terinformasi dengan jelas mengenai kebijakankebijakan pemerintah pusat untuk membantu kalangan dunia usaha untuk dapat tetap menjaga operasional perusahaan dan memperkerjakan karyawan yang dimilikinya.
