"Negara di ASEAN yang memiliki standar kualitas BBM paling baik hanya Singapura. Di sana, BBM yang dijual telah memenuhi kriteria untuk mesin mobil dengan standar emisi EURO 5," ujarnya

Bahkan, kabar mengenai naiknya standar kualitas BBM di Tanah Air pada 2016 pun masih buram. Sementara itu pada tahun tersebut, 4 negara ASEAN lainnya yakni Thailand, Malaysia, Philipina, dan Vietnam telah menggunakan BBM untuk kendaraan berstandar EURO 4.

Puput membandingkan, Malaysia dan Vietnam telah memasarkan bensin untuk kendaraan berstandar EURO 4 sejak awal 2014.

"Sejak 2009 Thailand telah mengggunakan Vehicle Emission Standard Euro 3. Negara ini semenjak 2012 bahkan telah menggunakan standar EURO 4," tandasnya.
