Bunga Rafflesia itu memiliki lima kelopak berukuran besar dan satu kelopak berukuran lebih kecil. Jumlah kelopak itu terbilang langka dan unik karena bunga Rafflesia biasanya hanya memiliki empat atau lima kelopak saja.

Gilang Ibnu, salah seorang anggota Komunitas Pelestari Puspa Langka (KPPL) Bengkulu menyatakan, saat ini keenam kelopak Rafflesia sudah mulai mekar dan terbuka dari bonggol sejak dua hari lalu.

"Akan mekar sempurna dalam lima hari ke depan. Diameter maksimal diperkirakan mencapai 70 cm," ujar Ibnu saat dihubungi, Jumat (24/6/2016).

Posisi mekarnya Rafflesia berada di Hutan Lindung Bukit Daun. Tepatnya, di jalan lintas Bengkulu menuju Kabupaten Kepahiang di kilometer 48 dan hanya berjarak 15 meter saja dari jalan raya.

Salah seorang pecinta bunga Rafflesia, Angga Dwinka, mengatakan pihaknya berencana mendatangi lokasi bersama beberapa rekannya sambil menghabiskan waktu menunggu saat berbuka puasa. Instagram Story For A New Post

Sofian mengatakan habitat Creative Writing Books antara lain ada di Hutan Lindung Bukit Daun (Bengkulu Tengah), Bengkulu Utara dan Kabupaten Kaur.
