Dilansir laman Cnet, Selasa (25/2/2014), tak berapa lama setelah Galaxy S5 resmi diluncurkan, melalui akun Twitter resmi @htc, produsen perangkat asal Taiwan itu langsung mengunggah foto bertuliskan "Buyer's remorse: Coming soon to S5 owners. March 25."

Melalui tweet tersebut, pihak HTC dengan optimis berusaha menyatakan bahwa para pembeli Galaxy S5 akan menyesal ketika mereka melihat bagaimana hebatnya smartphone terbaru HTC yang bakal dirilis 25 Maret 2014 mendatang.

HTC bahkan kembali mem-posting kicauannya "See you all on March 25th," dan terdapat sebuah foto lain yang bertuliskan "Hope they're ready to be One-upped. See it. Hear it. Feel it. March 25."

Pernyataan tersebut jelas merendahkan kemampuan Samsung, pasalnya HTC dengan terbuka mengungkapkan bahwa smartphone terbaru besutannya berada satu tingkat lebih baik di atas Galaxy S5.

Galaxy S5 sendiri sebenarnya dipersenjatai dengan spesifikasi mumpuni seperti prosesor Snapdragon 801 2,5 GHz, kamera belakang 16 MP dan kamera depan 2,1 MP, layar Super AMOLED full-HD 1080p seluas 5,1 inci, RAM 2 GB, kapasitas penyimpanan 16 atau 32 GB dan baterai 2.800 mAh.

Layaknya iPhone 5S, Galaxy S5 juga dilengkapi fitur sensor sidik jari secara built-in yang memungkinkan pengguna membuka ponsel dengan cara men-scan sidik jari mereka. Sensor tersebut juga dapat bertindak sebagai verifikasi untuk transaksi pembayaran PayPal.

Samsung mengklaim smartphone ini akan tersedia secara global di 150 negara mulai 11 April 2014 mendatang.
