Panggilan kemarin sekaligus kita berikan teguran ke mereka supaya proses registrasi ini segera diterapkan," kata Nonot Harsono, Komisioner BRTI yang dihubungi melalui saluran telepon.

Ia menambahkan, pengaturan sistem registrasi Facebook Ads Post For Markeeting ini diharapkan akan diterapkan operator dengan mengatur sistem distribusi kartu perdana ke pelanggan.

"Masalah pengaturan distribusi ini harus ditata baik-baik memang. Kalau dilihat, kartu SIM yang didistibusikan operator ke pasar itu terlalu banyak, padahal pasarnya sendiri sudah jenuh jadi besar kemungkinan yang beli kartu SIM itu orang yang sudah punya nomor sebenarnya," imbuh Nonot.

Pasar yang jenuh dinilai BRTI tak lagi terlalu membutuhkan pasokan nomor baru yang terlalu banyak. Nonot memprediksi kartu perdana yang tetap didistribusikan ke pasar saat ini memiliki potensi disalahgunakan daripada untuk memenuhi kebutuhan komunikasi masyarakat.

"Sekarang yang beli kartu SIM itu alasannya kemungkinan untuk SIM-box, orang iseng seperti anak SD-SMP biar nomornya tidak dikenal temennya, atau bahkan penipu. Jadi pembeli kartu SIM sekarang itu bukan lagi orang butuh, makanya kita mau tertibkan," ujar Nonot.

Teguran yang diberikan BRTI kepada penyedia layanan telekomunikasi sekaligus meminta mereka untuk kembali ke rencana penggunaan sistem baru registrasi pelanggan prabayar. Ditargetkan sebelum tahun 2015 berakhir sistem baru ini telah sepenuhnya diterapkan di industri telekomunikasi Indonesia.
